Is this the stag party to end all parties?
Last week I joined my brother in law Matt for his stag party in the idillic and historical town of Benidorm.
The weekend was Thursday to Monday – four days of no-nonsense drinking and hitting the town Bolton style, with up to twenty 30+ fellas celebrating Matt’s upcoming day in ways that only guys will do.
With it likely being my last stag party (and with Matt’s blessing) I thought I’d capture his and my time out there with only my iPhone and Instagram editing.
What I didn’t expect was such a great range of shots – i’m truly staggered by how much I got out of my new iPhone 6 and it’s officially the camera I just can’t do without. The shots were so great that I’m now offering stag do coverage for everyone – fancy it? Then please get in contact.
This is the beginning of Matt’s stag party and the story of Benidorm – #FollowTheStag.
So clearly to start us off here’s some obligatory pics of the plane and flight into Benidorm, which looks fantastic from the air!
It’s just a short flight from Bristol, 2.5 hours direct to Alicante then a 45 minute bus journey to the centre – a really easy journey which makes it a cinch for large groups to meet.
In true stag party style, the accommodation really was basic – and by basic I mean people on sofas, no running water for the first day, broken doors and stories of thefts. But still, we weren’t staying there long…
On the plus side, being on the 11th floor gave us some great views of Benidorm beach and Benidorm at night which is just alive with music and partying.
The quiet side
I took the chance to walk along Benidorm’s beach and take in the sights, with great restaurants and sun loungers as far as the eye can see. The bar district is a couple of streets back so the beach is well clear and nice and quiet for strolling.
Snow White awakes
Now I know what you’re thinking – let’s get to the stag party! Matt’s punishment (among many) was to dress as Snow White for his night out. The annoying thing is the dress was so tight that it actually kind of worked on him…
It all started so sweetly
Of course it all starts pretty normal – guys go to pub, play some table football, drink a few beers and have a good old catch up.
A break from the dwarves
With the outfit being so tight, Snow White periodically needed to take breaks for air – I think it’s because she’s a lightweight 😉
Fortunately she had her friends to keep her company 🙂
Re-invigorated it was time to get back on the tiles…
…and after a strong constitutional she was ready to celebrate!
With the evening over there was nothing else to do than chill on the beach and wait for the next one…
The journey home
And before I knew it it was time to head back home.
I want to say a huge thanks to all the fellas for an incredible stag party! I hadn’t met any of them before and they were all fantastic, welcoming me into the group and getting straight into having fun. Truly a stag to remember and I can’t wait for Matt’s big day – congrats Matt!
Wait, there’s more?!
There certainly is!
