The wedding industry’s big, really big. There’s a lot of competition and running a business isn’t easy.
There’s amazing wedding suppliers out there and I’m always looking for ways to collaborate to make connections and drive more business through mutually beneficial relationships.
For me, working with wedding suppliers is all about supporting each other, not asking for favours. Below you’ll find examples of ways I’ve collaborated already. From albums to photoshoots and referrals, there’s lots of great ways to work together.
If you’re a wedding supplier I’d love to hear from you, so please get in touch.
Working with venues
How many times have you heard this from a photographer?
Can I leave my album here, can you take my cards?
That’s not my approach. When I approach a venue, I talk to clients about how we can work together and I look to go above and beyond.
As I shot Sam & Vikki’s wedding elegant wedding I took plenty of photos of the reception at the character packed Square Club. After the wedding I approached them to look through the shots, offer them for sharing on social and creating on online gallery for them to share to prospective clients.
I also created a stunning leather album for them to share for brides to be, etched with their logo and laid out to show their amazing venue off beautifully.
In exchange they offered to link back to my website on social and share the gallery and my cards at their venue. A wonderful collaboration and a great result for me and them. Here’s some shots and links to the finished products.
Working with suppliers
If you’re a supplier, ask the question – what does this photographer do for me? How are they supporting my business?
When I met local wedding dresses supplier Lace and Grace, we chatted about their amazing shop and how we could help each other.
They needed photos of the shop so I took the time to shoot it and create a lovely wedding gallery that they could share on social and on their website. In exchange, they offered to stock my cards and we now work together to help each other drive more business.
Here’s some shots from the gallery.
